Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition that causes patchy hair loss on the scalp, beard, or body. While its exact cause is unknown, the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, leading to thinning or bald patches. Our team evaluates your symptoms and creates a personalized treatment plan to encourage regrowth, protect existing hair, and improve scalp health.

Personalized Solutions for Every Type of Hair Loss

Advanced Alopecia Treatments We Offer

We use evidence-based therapies to slow hair loss, stimulate regrowth, and restore scalp health.

What is alopecia?
Alopecia is a medical condition that causes hair loss, most commonly due to an autoimmune response where the immune system targets hair follicles. It can affect the scalp, face, or other areas of the body.

No. Alopecia is different from pattern baldness or age-related hair thinning. It often appears suddenly, in patches, and can affect people of any age or gender.

Alopecia can begin abruptly because it’s driven by immune system activity rather than gradual follicle weakening. Stress, illness, or other triggers may play a role, but the exact cause isn’t always clear.
Yes, regrowth is possible. Many patients experience partial or full regrowth, especially with early diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Results vary from person to person.
Alopecia can affect the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, and other body hair. The pattern and extent differ for each individual.
Treatment may include anti-inflammatory medications, topical or injected therapies, phototherapy, and regenerative approaches aimed at calming the immune response and supporting regrowth.

I make an annual appointment for skin check and removals as needed. Dr Campbell always greets me with a smile, listens and answers my questions. Her MA is also nice and assists as needed. The office is comforting and clean. I like the music they play in the office and exams rooms, it’s relaxing.

Everyone has been really good to me. I would highly recommend Dr Campbell to everyone. I tell all my friends how she found my melanoma when I never saw it. Plus it didn’t bother me. I really appreciate her.
