Rosacea is a chronic but manageable skin condition that often causes redness, flushing, and visible blood vessels on the face, neck, and chest. Symptoms range from mild flare-ups to persistent skin changes, and treatment is designed to minimize flare-ups and improve skin comfort.

Understanding Rosacea: Symptoms, Treatment & Management

Advanced Rosacea Treatments We Offer

We use advanced facials, laser, and light therapies to clear breakouts, reduce scars, and restore healthy, radiant skin.

Topical treatments are the first line of defense for psoriasis, helping slow excessive skin cell growth and reduce inflammation. Options include steroid creams, vitamin-based medications, and over-the-counter products like salicylic acid, coal tar, and moisturizers. These treatments relieve itching, reduce scaling, and improve skin comfort — either alone or alongside other therapies.
For moderate to severe rosacea, oral antibiotics and other medications can help reduce inflammation and prevent flare-ups from within. These are especially effective for patients with acne-like breakouts or widespread symptoms.
Laser and light-based treatments target dilated blood vessels beneath the skin’s surface, reducing redness and improving overall skin tone. These therapies can also minimize flushing and provide long-lasting results with minimal downtime.
When rosacea leads to thickened, bumpy skin, dermabrasion and resurfacing procedures can restore a smoother, more even texture. These treatments help remove excess tissue, refine pores, and improve overall skin appearance.

Rosacea by the Numbers

Rosacea is far more common than many realize, affecting over 16 million Americans though a large percentage of cases go undiagnosed. The condition typically appears between the ages of 30 and 50, but it can impact anyone, regardless of age, gender, or skin tone, and has even been seen in children. While rosacea is most frequently diagnosed in individuals with fair skin, it is not limited to any one background. Symptoms often start subtly, such as occasional flushing or redness, and progress over time if left untreated. Raising awareness and seeking early treatment can make a dramatic difference in managing rosacea effectively and improving quality of life.

I make an annual appointment for skin check and removals as needed. Dr Campbell always greets me with a smile, listens and answers my questions. Her MA is also nice and assists as needed. The office is comforting and clean. I like the music they play in the office and exams rooms, it’s relaxing.

Everyone has been really good to me. I would highly recommend Dr Campbell to everyone. I tell all my friends how she found my melanoma when I never saw it. Plus it didn’t bother me. I really appreciate her.
